Yes, our couriers do have the required specialized training.

ACS is one of the only fully accredited to transport nuclear medicine. Our couriers are fully trained in the following:

• Hazmat Training

  All couriers receive DOT HAZMAT training for the transportation of radioactive materials in accordance with the 49CFR, and covers key topics such as general awareness, function specifics, in-depth security, and safety.

• Specific Vehicle Requirements

  Our couriers are also trained on our radiation protection programs and a thorough review of specific vehicle requirements, including Blocking, Bracing, and Shielding.

• Consistant monitoring of Requirements

  We consistantly review the requirements of our Dosimetry Program and how it impacts our safety and protection programs and the relationship to ALARA.
